Your school invites you
You receive a WhatsApp message from Cnoté. Your school has already done the setup — you just need to activate your account.
Set your PIN
Reply "SET PIN 1234" (your choice of 4 digits). That's it — no app download, no email sign-up, no password to remember.
School updates arrive automatically
From now on, Cnoté delivers relevant school updates to your WhatsApp. You can ask questions, adjust preferences, or opt out — all via WhatsApp.

Your privacy
School-controlled. Parent-respecting.
Your school controls what data Cnoté receives and processes. Cnoté acts only on the school's behalf — it cannot share your data with anyone else.
Your name, WhatsApp number, and your child's name are stored on servers in France. No data is transferred to the United States.
You can request deletion of your data at any time via the parent portal or by contacting your school. We respond within 30 days.

Parent FAQ
Do I need to download anything?
No. Cnoté works through your existing WhatsApp. There's no new app to download, no account to create, and no portal to log into for everyday use. Everything arrives in WhatsApp.
Can I choose when I receive updates?
Yes. You can set your preferred digest time (morning, lunchtime, evening), choose daily or weekly digests, and toggle instant alerts on or off. These preferences are managed via the parent portal or by messaging Cnoté in WhatsApp.
What if I have more than one child at the school?
Cnoté can be linked to multiple children. Each child's updates are delivered together, with clear labelling so you always know which update is about whom.
Can I opt out?
Yes. Reply "STOP" to Cnoté in WhatsApp at any time. You can also contact your school to remove you from the system. Your data will be deleted within 30 days.
I didn't get the invitation WhatsApp. What do I do?
Contact your school's admin office — they'll resend the invite. Make sure the school has your correct WhatsApp number (including country code). Cnoté can only send to the number the school has on file.
