Sign the DPA
We send you a GDPR Art. 28 Data Processing Agreement. Sign it digitally. This covers the legal basis for processing email metadata and parent contact data.

Connect your school inbox
Link your school Gmail or Google Workspace account via OAuth in the admin panel. Takes about 5 minutes. No shared passwords. Revoke access any time.

Add your parent contacts
Upload a CSV of parent names, WhatsApp numbers, and their child's name. Or add families one by one via the admin UI. Link parents to children in the system.

Parents activate via WhatsApp
Each parent receives a WhatsApp welcome message. They reply with "SET PIN 1234" to activate their account. No app download. No email sign-up. Zero friction.

International schools handle sensitive child data. We take that seriously.
We provide a GDPR Article 28 Data Processing Agreement before any data flows through Cnoté. No procurement delay.
All data — email metadata, parent contacts, child names — is stored and processed on servers in France. No data transferred to the United States.
The school controls which email account is connected. Access is revocable at any time via OAuth. Data is deleted within 30 days of contract end.
Cnoté processes email metadata and summaries — not the full body of every email. We collect the minimum necessary to deliver the service.
Any parent can opt out of Cnoté notifications at any time via WhatsApp. The school remains the data controller and can remove any parent.
For Swiss schools, Cnoté is aligned with the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nDSG, in force since September 2023).
